Hola,
I’m Melissa Apolaya, a versatile human being with a deep interest in design, the environment, and the relationship between people and natural surroundings.
I studied Architecture in Lima and, after several years of practice, moved to Munich to specialize in landscape architecture.
My professional path began in renowned architectural design studios, where I gained the tools to later develop my own projects. I’ve been fortunate to manage processes from the initial idea to full implementation.
Driven by a constant social vocation, I’ve also participated in collective projects with rural communities from the Andes and the Peruvian Amazon, contributing to a more diverse and inclusive society. I have also worked as a university lecturer on several occasions.
More recently, thanks to my master’s degree in landscape architecture, I’ve become involved in larger-scale projects, addressing topics such as urban biodiversity, public space, and citizen participation.
Beyond architecture, I have a strong connection to outdoor activities and hands-on work. I have experience in carpentry, drawing, and collage, as well as a steady practice in rock climbing.
Currently based in Mexico, I’m open to joining new projects and collaborations.
