Peru Rail Waiting Area
The waiting area for the train to Machu Picchu in the village of Ollantaytambo aims to evoke a local atmosphere. The architecture features three roofs surrounding a rectangular pebbled patio with a central bonfire. Utilizing stone, earth, and wood, three building materials that harmonize beautifully. Native vegetation adorns the covered spaces, providing color and shade with indigenous plants and trees. The goal is to make visitors feel they have arrived in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, offering a tranquil spot to rest and relax on benches or sunlit garden stones.
